The Podcast Boss Studio Recording Prep Checklist

One week before

✓Outcome: write one sentence objective and one call to action
✓Guest: confirm names, roles, pronunciation, mobile, consent required
✓Talking points: opener, three key points, close
✓Assets: send artwork, logo or brand visual for the monitor. Landscape PNG or JPG (16:9 ratio) works best.
✓Sponsor copy: if applicable, prepare script for acknowledgements
✓Accessibility and sensitivities: flag any topics to avoid, preferred name usage

✓ Transport: Limited parking at 78, 82, or 84 Abbotsford Rd, street parking nearby, ride-share or public transport recommended, We’re only one block from Bowen Hills train station
✓Links: provide website and social links for descriptions
✓Props: bring only pre-approved items you can hold quietly
✓Voice: hydrate, avoid dairy and very cold drinks, light meal only

✓Wardrobe: solid colours, avoid tight patterns, pure white, black or neon, no noisy jewellery, avoid logos that conflict with sponsors or with your brand
✓Grooming: hair away from lapel area, matte face to reduce shine, nails tidy
✓Travel buffer: plan to arrive fifteen minutes early

✓On Arrival: check names and titles, sound check, mic placement, quick rehearsal breaths
✓Tech: put phone and watch on silent, laptop on do not disturb
✓On camera: speak to the host, not the lens unless asked, sit tall, short sentences, pause if you lose your place
✓Etiquette: no table tapping, no swivel chairs
✓Operator: switching live to minimise post, follow cues

✓Spelling check: confirm guest names, titles, links
✓Thumbnail: if requested, pick a still from the recording
✓Distribution: if included in your package, we will upload to your host or Podbean
